CHRISTMAS TREE


And so.....there it stood, the most magical tree in the neighbourhood. A ten foot scotch pine, meticulously arranged with bright silver tinsel, vintage glass balls and soft blue lights encased in angel hair.It was mesmerizing!
"You should be sleeping, it's almost midnight", my mother said - "we can't sleep, we're too excited", we replied.
That Christmas and every Christmas that followed, we fell asleep in front of the tree surrounded by the spirit of Christmas and the wonderful smell of fresh pine. While we slept, Santa;):) came and disappeared without a sound....ah yes...there was music playing, it sounded like snow falling......
